The U.S. Economy, Job Creation and The Unemployment Rate for September 2025.

The U.S. Labor Department reported belatedly that the economy added 119,000 jobs in September and that the unemployment rate came in at 4.4%, up from the previous month.  We can now compare Trump's first 9 months in office to Biden's first 9 months in office.  716,000 jobs have been created in Trump's first 9 months in office.  So, after a total of 57 months in office as President, job creation is still in a negative position of 2 million jobs lost.  The unemployment rate is up on Trump's watch, it was 4% when Biden left office.

In Biden's first term, 312,000 jobs were created in September 2021 and a total of over 3.3 million jobs were created in his first 9 months in office.  The unemployment rate in September 2021 was 4.8%, down from the 6.3% when he took office.

The Department also reported that 4,000 jobs were lost in August making it the second month this year so far that the economy lost jobs.  No such thing took place during Biden's four years in office.  Manufacturing lost 6,000 jobs in September and a total of 58,000 jobs between April and September.

The numbers continue to tell the story of Trump and his GOP's inability to create job, lowering the unemployment and governing over a good economy.  The precedent of Trump and his party's pitiful performance will continue as long as ideology controls their thoughts.

N.O. Braces For Border Patrol Sweeps.

So says three articles published in the Times-Picayune/New Orleans Advocate in a weeks period beginning November 19.   The articles were long winded but the bottom line continues to be what the people have learned from Trump's immigration policies thanks to the Mayors, Governors and legal organizations who have to deal with the sweeps.

We have learned from the courts that some of the sweeps have been unlawful and illegal.  One court has already issued a list of lies the court were told about those sweeps by ICE and are considering some kind of contempt charges.  Governors, Mayors and legal organizations have issued instructions on the people's right to oppose those unlawful and illegal sweeps, especially those without a signed warrant from a judge or court.  We have also learned how Darkness has developed over Trump with his policy of allowing agents to continue to wear mask to hide their identity in their enforcement.  A reminder of what the Klu Klux Klan did when they burned down black churches and houses.  They covered their faces like cowards.

Immigration the legal way represents America the Beautiful.  Immigration Trump's way represents Darkness run by cowards.

Alabama 20 LSU 9

Alabama's crimson tide rose Saturday night in Bryan-Denny stadium to defeat the Tigers from Baton Rouge 20-9.  LSU, playing it's first game of the season without head coach Kelly and it's offensive coordinator lost for the fourth time in their last 5 games.  Four of those defeats by SEC opponents.  As for LSU, the game exposed the same problems that has been with the team for some years.

The offense has a problem putting the football in the end zone:  the offensive line cannot protect the quarterback;  the quarterback is an on again off again performer;  the offensive line continues to be penalized;  the defense is an on again off again defense';  a rushing game still trying to make a statement and the fact that LSU is a poorly coached football team.

There is no question that the LSU football program has taken a hit.  It will be another year without making the CFP.  Another year with no improvement in the won-loss record and the year could end up with the most loses under Kelly in a single season.  This writer believes the problem is deeper than the Brian Kelly coached era.  As a follower of LSU sports for over 60+ years, in my opinion, the coaching eras of Paul Dietzel and Charlie McClendon were more stable than the coaching eras that followed.  I say that even though Sabin, Myles and Orgeron won national championships.  Dietzel won a national championship also, Charlie Mac did not.

The last 6 years of LSU football can best be described as stand still years with little or no progress.  It comes at a time of great change in college sports and presents challenges not only to the greatest of teams who have a winning tradition but all colleges as a whole.  So now LSU finds itself in a most difficult position of having to start all over again. its quest for a new head coach and coaching staff.

The question now remains, will LSU's future football program look like the failed past or will it become a new and productive era for the team's future.

The American people spoke up this week for the Democratic Party and Democracy where it matters the most, at the ballot box.

Ever since the media turned their backs against President Biden's economy because they wanted him to be more available, they, along with Trump, the GOP and the negative voices began attacking the President's agenda and his leadership.  They published negative reports and so called polling that was supposed to show the democratic party to be out of touch, fragmented without leadership destined to fail.

Then on Tuesday, Nov. 4, all that changed when elections were held coast to coast for Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, state legislatures, Mayor and a proposition on a California ballot and the democratic party's candidates made a clean sweep.  The media called it a surprise, some in the GOP said it was an awakening and troubling.  Trump and others blamed it on the government shutdown.  Those who lied about the Biden economy were silent about the defeat of the Trump/GOP backed losing candidates.

The demise of the democratic party were never true and the lies were just that, lies.  The voters let all know the previous week when millions marched across America to protest "no kings day" against Trump and his administration.  The message was loud and clear, NO to Trump and his party.  But the clue was there long before that.  Trump ran for President 3 times, winning twice but never received the majority of the popular vote in any one of the elections.

No matter how one wants to look at it, the democratic party is the only SANE party serving in the federal government.  Tuesday's vote only confirms what informed people always knew and PolitiDose was the only media outlet during all the attacks on the democratic party that continued to proclaim the democratic party was the only SANE party in Washington.

So stay tuned to PolitiDose, your daily dose of political commentary.

A Note To The Faithful LSU Football Fans. Hang In There For The Latest Ride.

Dear Fans, forget about all the sports reporting that will continue to take place while football settles down this chaotic season.  The stories will only be for entertainment and reveal little to what the future will bring.  We know no matter how LSU's regular season ends, it will have no effect on next years team.

The new coaching staff will begin a new era next season and it will take at least two years to find out just how productive the new staff will be.  In the mean time, just play it cool, let the future unfold and don't be fooled by all the hype.

The LSU football program has made the CFP only one time in the last 11 seasons.  That tells how far the program has fallen.  And all 4 seasons under Kelly the Tigers should have been rated as a "Wait and see team" and that is the way it actually turned out.  Those sports writers who predicted great things never were objective in their analysis of the team.

The Kelly era ended with the Texas A&M game and is now history.  How does LSU's future football seasons look?  The only thing we know for sure is time will tell.

Governor Jeff Landry's Style Is "Fast and Blunt" ???

In a front page article of the Times Picayune/New Orleans Advocate dated Nov. 2 staff writer Tyler Bridges thinks so and refers to several examples including Landry's comments concerning then LSU Athletic Director Scott Woodward, LSU's board of supervisors and other issues.  Earlier in the week Landry involved himself in Loyola University's business when Loyola's student government association denied to formally recognize a campus chapter of Turning Point USA, a conservative student group.  One of Landry's ally in the state legislature then said he would check into if Loyola is receiving any state funds.  (A tactic used by Trump)

Landry's so called "fast and blunt style" can accurately be described as a Trump ditto head and Trump copy cat because he is following Trump's style of governing where the democratic process of governing is no more.  The only thing that matters is control over everything and everybody.  Louisiana, the GOP state has been taken for a ride and the media continues to look the other way.
