Last Minute Surge For Clinton?

According to exit polls, it was actually Sen. Hillary Clinton who won many Super Tuesday voters who made up their mind on Election Day.  Here are some of those states which I found surprising:

State/ Clinton/ Obama

AL             58           39

CA             51            43

CT             51            43

DE            55            45

GA            47            45

IL              50           42

MA           58            38

NM           53            42

Why are these particular states so interesting?  For one, although she lost Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, and Illinois, Clinton actually won last day deciders in those states, which shows a slight surge for her.  Winning last minute deciding voters in Obama's home state of Illinois is also very interesting.  The results in California and Massachusetts are also key to watch because they show that despite the buzz about Obama potentially winning California and the Kennedy endorsement in Massachusetts, Clinton still won those voters.  And finally, Clinton edging out Obama to win New Mexico has been called by many to be a result because of early voting.  Well indeed that is not true---Clinton won those NM voters who made up their mind on election day as well as early voters.
