The November 6 Elections Are More About Just Congressional Seats

It is about local and state government also, governors, judges, Attorney's Generals and etc.  Its about raising the minimum wage and adopting Medicaid expansion under the ACA in several states.  That is another good reason why people should go to the polls and vote.  A number of states have already approved minimum wage increases and Medicaid expansion under the ACA which has helped advance middle class income and added health coverage for millions of Americans.

Both of those issues are opposed by Trump and the GOP and for many years.  They have been idle on the minimum wage for the past 21 months while they have the control to pass such legislation.  That is why, little by little, states are taking it upon themselves to tackle the issue and placing it on the ballot.  We are also told that there are more women who are on the ballot in this election than ever before and some are veterans who served their country.

This writer likes to see states take the lead themselves and place issues on the ballot and determine their own future and not depend on the federal government, especially when you have a republican party in control who are opposed to everything.  So my fellow American voters, a lot is at stake on Tuesday, so get to the polls and vote for progress.

Note:  Just today it was reported in the Times Picayune that Trump's economic advisor, Larry Kudlow said he and the administration is opposed to any increase in the minimum wage, even the ones proposed on the state level.  Larry Kudlow you will remember was a so called economic expert for CNBC and during the George W. Bush administration predicted the Bush tax cuts would produce a great economy with balanced budgets and great jobs.  Of course, we all know what really took place on Bush's watch.
