The American People Can Change The Direction of The country's Governing With Their Vote On November 3

The United States is in a deep economic recession since February, a growing and spreading virus pandemic since March, the worst job losses since the great depression in 1929 and also the highest unemployment rate since that same period.  Record single year budget deficits will be recorded at the end of this fiscal year which ends 9/30/20.  All of those issues are a national problem that need to be addressed on a national level by the President who has not only failed to do so but has contributed to make matters worse.

Not only has the President failed to have plans and policy to deal with the issues the past five months, the same can be said of his first three years in office.  That failure led to fewer jobs created compared to President Obama's last three years in office.  Trump thought he could ride on the Obama economy and pushed a tax cut that helped the stock market but not create jobs and added to the deficit.  And when the pandemic hit, Trumped looked the other way and every thing sno-balled from there.  He turned his back on the country and its people and passed the responsibility to state and local governments.

The outcome the country and its people are experiencing now was predictable because it had its roots in past republican administrations.  And republicans in congress followed their failed past record of inaction and took no action on their own to legislate any policy or plans to attack the issues.  They just followed their leaders unfitness to serve and continued to dilly-dally on important legislation passed by the democratic controlled U.S. House months ago.

Trump's lack of a national policy to address the pandemic share a large part of the blame for the spread of the virus and its aftermath.  And his tax cuts, trade wars and a lack of an economic policy are the reason the economic recession is so severe and will last longer than necessary.  The incompetence of Trump and his party in governing is a disaster for the country and its people.  The progress that was made during the Clinton administration, ended with the Bush 43 administration.  And the progress made during the Obama-Biden administration, ended with the Trump administration and his ditto head party.

And history tells us it is no co-incident.  Understanding the failures of the past is still the key to a better future for America and its people.  And that should  be a key to those who vote on November 3.
