"A Typical White Person"

Those were the words that Sen. Barack Obama used to describe his white grandmother.  Many in the media seem to be giving Barack Obama a free pass on this one, as are many in the liberal blogosphere.  Yet, in the interest of fairness, let's replace the word "white" with the word "black" and let's say that it was Hillary Clinton who said it.

We all know what would happen.  There would be outrage.  She would be called a racist.  She would be thrown under the bus and criticized for days and days.  It's not that I'm necessarily saying that Barack Obama hates whites, I don't think he does, but many are not covering this the same way they would if the situation was as I described above.  I'm getting sick and tired of the double standard out there, where Obama gets a pass on controversial statements and Clinton gets bashed and buried.  People are ultra-sensitive when African Americans or Latinos are stereotyped (which is completely understandable), but when whites are stereotyped, the one making the comments gets a free pass.  It's just not right.  We need to start covering the candidates all equally.

The media has really stumbled with this issue and Obama. They have already made up their mind to come to his rescue no matter what. They are trying to break down everything Clinton says to catch her and create a story that is not there. Soon they will be talking about her records she just released and you can believe they will spin that as long as they can.

Yeah. The same liberal media that has repeatedly shown Jeremiah Wright's rants and accused Obama of being guilty by association. How many liberal media outlets are clamoring over themselves to release the information that Bill Clinton invited Jeremiah Wright to official visits to the White House on two seperate occasions? Perhaps you should also consider that Obama's Mother is white and he was raised in a white family. I seriously doubt that he is a racist, even though Hillary and her hynchmen are trying their best to portray him as such.

Its not Clinton who broke the story about Obama's preacher and it is not Clinton who is claiming Obama is a racist. Also in case you don't know Bill Clinton is not running for President. MAybe you need to watch again if you think Fox News is Liberal, they are milking this story for all they can. Anytime an excuse is needed, blame the so called liberal media. Thats a laugh. It seems that you are the one who has brought up the guilty part by Obama. Get a life anonymous.

My response: Firstoff, everyone knows where these claims are coming from; the Clinton camp. The innuendoes may be coming from E-Mails or Bill's "slip of the tongue" or subordinates such as Geraldine ferraro, but it's evident that the only wany Hillary could damage Barack Obama is by using the racial divide in this country. Doesn't that make you really proud to be a supporter of hers? BTW, I was being facetious when I said the "liberal media". That's a claim that neocons, such as Hillary Clinton like to use to make the people think the news media is being unfair to them. The major news media is owned by the same neocon corporate interests that own Hillary Clinton.
