President Trump visited House republicans on Capitol Hill Tuesday concerning the party's American Health Care Act (AHCA) which will be voted on by the full House on Thursday. The purpose of Trump's visit was to shore up the republican vote that is unsure at best, so the House can pass the bill to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.
If the reports are accurate as to what the President told House members, then the President is still willing to use fraud and fear as a tool to govern. The reports said Trump told members of the House they must support the repeal and replace bill or risk losing their congressional seats in the next election. Evidently the President does not feel House members should vote for the bill because the AHCA is a good bill that will insure all or do a better job than the Affordable Care Act and also reduce cost. No, instead he used fear of losing their jobs as a reason to vote for the bill.
The President and his party are caught in a fraud scheme with the AHCA with phony claims from the very beginning and the truth is now emerging for all to see. Its no longer about health care, its about republicans losing their jobs according to the President. And where ever Trump goes, regression continues to follow. Which tells this writer the future will be like the failed past of republican administrations.
